Do Your Landlords Not Want Certain Contact Details Shown on Their Advert? How to Quickly Set This

Are you getting calls from your landlords saying they want specific contact details hiding from, or displaying on, their adverts?

Ie, they want their email address on there but not their mobile number, or vice versa?

If so, read on to learn how to quickly set up different contact types for landlords and agents. This is fast and simple to do, and allows a landlord to display whatever specific contact details they'd like on their ad without impacting the contact details you hold on file for them.

1. View the landlord/agent's contact information from the Agent/Landlord Home area of the control site:

You can access landlord information by going to Agent/Landlord in the navigation bar at the top of the screen (circled in yellow), then Agent/Landlord Home (circled). All of your landlords will be displayed in a list (example shown in the green box).
Please note the landlords shown are redacted in the grey box as this is taken from a Live Studentpad Site.

2. Click into the selected landlord and you will be presented with their contact information:

On this Contacts screen, note the List on the right-hand side of the page. This List contains each of the different sets of contact details this landlord has set up for themself. The Standard Contact is the default set of contact details held for a landlord and contains the information inputted on registration. If no other sets of contact details are added, this information is what will be displayed on a landlord's advert.

3. To add different details to be displayed on a landlord's advert (ie. different to the Standard Contact information shown), click Add new contact shown in the screenshot below:

Note the text shown above the data entry boxes on this page. This explains the different types of Contacts that can be set up in the List on the right-hand side.

4. Once you've clicked Add new contactwe're going to create a Website Contact:

5. Once you have selected your Contact Type to be Website Contact, enter the information that the landlord does want displaying on their adverts:

In this example, it may be the case that the landlord does not want their first name displayed to students. Or they have an alternative, preferred email to use specifically for receiving student enquiries. Any mandatory fields market with the star will need to be completed.
Click Add Contact (shown in the green box) at the bottom of the page.

6. You will receive a pop-up confirming the new contact has been added. You will see that a Website Contact now appears in the List:

These Website Contact details will now display on this landlord's adverts instead of the Standard Contact details.
Note that Website Contact details can be deleted whereas Standard Contact details cannot as these are the default details held within the system.

You can add other types of Contacts into a landlord's account by repeating the steps above. Note that when you're looking in the Agent/Landlord Directory on your Studentpad Control Site, you may see the same landlord appear more than once if they have multiple sets of contact details in their List. This does not mean you're looking at duplicate landlord accounts. This only means you're viewing their multiple sets of contact details. See the example below:
