How can I discount an order on Studentpad?
***Please note: these instructions are only relevant if you have the Integrated Payments module enabled***
1.) Go
to the Property listing for the property whose order you want to discount:
Scroll down to the Payments section and click on the
outstanding order that says “Awaiting Payment”:
2.) Click
Yes on the pop-up box that appears:
3.) Click
on the “Details” link so you can see the full order:
4.) To
discount the order click on “Order Discount” and select the value or percentage
– whichever you want to use as the basis for your discounted value (so for
example if you don’t want your customer to have to pay at all you could select
Percent and insert 100 into the value box or you choose Value and insert 33.33
into the value box and the resultant discount will be the same):
5.)
Ensure you’ve inserted a value amount as
mentioned in step 4.):
6.) The
order total will be changed to 0.00 (meaning the customer will have nothing to
pay):
7.) To
finish applying the discount, select ‘Other’ from ‘Pay Method’ drop down:
8.) Click “Pay Now”. This will finalise the discount and the order status will
show as “Paid” similarly to the screenshot below (except the amount in the
Total column will show as £0.00):
